A reforma do Código Florestal e a redução do salário mínimo ambiental

Em artigo, o coordenador adjunto de Política e Direito Socioambiental do ISA, Raul do Valle, avalia as contradições da proposta de reforma do Código Florestal. Valle faz uma comparação didática com o salário mínimo para mostrar como a bancada ruralista está tentando derrubar parâmetros mínimos de proteção dos ecossistemas em prejuízo do resto da sociedade brasileira.
No último dia 24/11, a Comissão de Meio Ambiente do Senado aprovou o substitutivo de Jorge Viana (PT-AC) para o novo Código Florestal. Nos dias seguintes, a grande imprensa dedicou razoável espaço para tentar explicar o conteúdo do projeto e o que mudará caso ele transforme-se em lei.
Embora venha prevalecendo a opinião de que a proposta seria um "meio termo" entre as demandas ambientalistas e ruralistas, poucos conseguiram passar aos leitores uma avaliação simples e fiel do que ela representa.
