Documento será votado nesta quarta (23/11) na Comissão de Meio Ambiente do Senado, apenas 48 horas depois de ter sido apresentado. Avanços são insuficientes para transformá-lo em uma peça que proteja as florestas e promova o uso racional dos recursos naturais
O substitutivo que propõe mudanças ao Código Florestal, lido na Comissão de Meio Ambiente (CMA) pelo relator da matéria, senador Jorge Viana, apresenta mudanças positivas, mas não altera pontos essenciais como a anistia a crimes ambientais, permitindo a não recuperação de áreas de preservação permanente e de reserva legal ilegalmente desmatadas. A CMA, principal comissão para a análise de questões ambientais, tem um prazo extremamente reduzido – apenas 48 horas – para avaliar a matéria, propor emendas e votar o texto.
O cronograma, apressado e insuficiente para as discussões que um tema de tamanha importância demanda, atende apenas aos interesses dos ruralistas, que pretendem que o texto passe com o mínimo de alterações possíveis, seja apreciado pela Câmara e sancionado pela presidente Dilma Rousseff ainda este ano.
